Moving Elephants new space to live

WWF the Netherlands commissioned World Report in 2008 to document the translocation of a complete herd of elephants within Malawi. For me it was an absolute boysdream come true to film this unique event. A specialised team from South Africa selected the herd using a helicopter, then dotted the complete family while vets stood ready to carefully load these huge animals on a truck and transport them from Liwonde National Park (where there are too many elephants) to Majete Wildlife Reserve (where they died out because of poaching). Majete Reserve is managed by African Parks and by bringing the elephants back they give them a new space to live.
